Constellation Neighborhood Park

While many people associate parks with only athletics, it is important to provide more passive parks within a community for quiet relaxation and enjoyment. Constellation Neighborhood Park features a soccer field and play structures in addition to teaching a science lesson about the constellations and planets within our solar system. This is achieved by the literal placement of “planets” in orbit around the sun, and in educational signage placed throughout the park that provides facts about each planet and helps identify constellations in the night sky.

Horseshoe Neighborhood Park

Elk Grove's history as a California ranching community is brought back to life at Horseshoe Neighborhood Park with designs that recall this period of time when community was valued and neighbors were friends for life. Athletes are sure to enjoy the soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, skate board area and lighted tennis courts. Younger children will flock to the adventure play structure, swings and rock climbing structure. And residents are sure to appreciate the multiple shaded picnic areas, concession building with restrooms, horseshoe tournament area and square dance pavilion.

Island Neigborhood Park

The Island Neighborhood Park design concept sparks the imagination and is a backdrop for adventure. Children can embark on a journey, sailing in the ocean where dolphins seem to come alive and then fall upon an untouched island. The adventure continues with giant sea turtles and a ship where imaginations set sail. The entire family will enjoy Island Neighborhood Park, with its barbecue and picnic areas and grass soccer field. Plenty of trees and grassy areas offer those who simply want to watch the adventure a perfect view.

Promenade Neighborhood Park

Promenade Neighborhood Park features a large central lawn, synthetic turf putting green, par course stations for outdoor fitness training and large fountain. Plus, it is connected to the surrounding neighborhoods by four specially designed paseos. Furnishings include shaded benches with arbors, drinking fountains, a pet waste station, and a decorative art fence.

Rose Garden Neighborhood Park

Rose Garden Neighborhood Park features amply shaded lawns, formal rose beds, a central pavilion, and a decorative water fountain providing opportunities for passive use. The centrally located pavilion includes seat walls and lighting. Paths amongst the rose beds are constructed of colorful brick pavers. Furnishings include benches, chess tables, a drinking fountain, and pet waste station.

Storybook Woods Neighborhood Park

Storybook Woods Neighborhood Park is geared toward children and focuses on key play areas with four main play hubs that each possess a distinct quality and theme. The main areas include Space Station, Glenbrooke Station, Land of the Lost, and Pirates Cove. Space Station is designed to appeal to children ages 5-12, while Glenbrooke Station is designed to attract children ages 2-5. The other two play areas, Land of the Lost and Pirates Cove, aim to fascinate all age groups. The design focuses on play equipment that is unique to Storybook Woods Park and many of the play areas have one-of-a-kind, specially designed play features. Additionally, the park includes a covered picnic area and benches along the edge of the park for reading and on looking.

The Oasis (Community Park)

The Oasis will be a hub of athletic activity and social interaction at Madeira. For those with boundless energy, the park will feature a soccer and football field, plus one youth softball and little league field each. Skateboarders will play in their own area while those who enjoy basketball will play hoops. Playground equipment will keep children of all ages satisfied. A community building, concessions building, restrooms and lots of shaded picnic areas will provide a perfect place for Madeira residents to meet and greet. Numerous plantings, design features and shade structures make it a pleasant place to visit.
